Janet Muller: “B’fhéidir, má tá go leor litreacha fáighte ag Cameron agus Clegg, go mbeidh Acht na Gaeilge istigh
First shown in 2010, this piece captures the views of the time. Filmed on what was said to be the biggest Irish language day of the year and intended to provide an insight into this special day in the lives of Irish speakers. What is this whole day about? How important is it to the Irish language community? Where The Irish Language Act stands? And the future for this day!
Janet Muller: “Maybe, if Cameron and Clegg receive enough letters, The Irish Language Act will be in.”
POBAL was established in January 1998. It is a representative partnership and a democratic forum for groups in the Irish speaking community. There are two aspects to its work: advocacy (including the Irish Language Act NI) and strategic support for member groups. They organise Rights & Revelry every year and undertake research and surveys.
